Frugi, an organic Eco-friendly clothing brand from Bump to child

Nearly 37 weeks today and just starting to gather all we might need. For this Baby, like for Baba2 {let’s call her Rainbow from now}, we are going to use cloth nappies from birth. For Rainbow, I did not buy special cut for clothes clothing as I thought it was useless and just a new “need” created by Brands. I was so wrong and so silly! Guess what happened? All my baby vests were too short and had a tendency to squeeze the nappy, resulting on leaks. I decided to buy some vest extenders thinking that it will help. Unfortunately, they were compatible with only 2 out of 10 baby vests. Not having the time to search for another solution, we just kept going and just not fastening the vest when impossible resulting on a funny look. I am now more than convinced and aware that Cut for Clothes Clothing makes your life easier and are more practical if you use cloth nappies! So I have decided to invest in few clothes and see how …

A better and greener alternative to plastic: LIFEFACTORY Glass Bottles and food storage

A greener life for a healthier and better life. I am totally convinced about it but it is not always easy to switch for many reasons: the cost being one of them. Not easy also to decide for what alternative to go. A thing is sure for us, we are tired to see a bin full of plastic bottles! So few years ago we stopped buying mineral water and we used plastic jars! I know, very silly indeed. As I said switching to green alternatives is sometimes more expensive and we have to wait. We do things little by little. With the arrival of Baba3, soon now, we have chosen to go for Glass baby bottles and Glass water bottles for us too. I have looked as usual into the web to find out the solution that will suit us best. I have found Lifefactory. Before committing to the entire range, we wanted to try first and see how a bottle works and resists. A glass bottle in a baby/toddler/child hand might be frightening, don’t …

Healthy Vegan and Paleo Snacks for a starving Bump! {Forest Primal Snack Box Review}

Recently I started to think of my “after birth” Diet Plan. Why? Here are some pregnancy updates: 36 weeks pregnant now {4 more weeks to go! Just keep going…} 20 Kgs + on the scale so far {I know frightening but this is my third pregnancy and getting used to it – no choice really} As you can see I put on some weight but this is how my body reacts to pregnancy. I had the same things for my previous Babas and it has been hard to understand. No more trying to understand, just taking action. After having Baba1, I completely changed my way to view food and Diet. I am now following  a paleo and Keto diet. During this pregnancy, I tried to keep going and still going in fact with my paleo vegan life but had to drop off a bit with the keto one. Coping with the pregnancy cravings is not the easiest thing to do: it is like a constant battle with your stomach and a fight with your dreamy mind! And even …

Toddler Tooth brushing Resistance or how to get a toddler to brush? {Featuring Jack n’Jill Gift Kit}

Last week was all about parenting and I hope you were happy for me to share with you our experience. To close the “subject”, there is still something I’d love to share. Something that we had to face recently. From birth to toddler, things go so fast. Your little one first teeth will make her appearance before you even realise that your baby is not a newborn anymore. With the first teeth starts a new journey: learn your bubba how to take care of his lovely little body and one of this first ever step is to brush their teeth. The first time we introduced a toothbrush in our daughters lives, they always loved chewing on but that was when they were smaller. We hit a roadblock at some point when I started actively brushing their teeth, same things for both. They would get so mad. But even if it is a trial, always some solutions around, just try to keep calm! I tried different approaches hopping that it would work for us. What I have done with Baba1 and Baba2: 1. Distraction: …

World Breastfeeding Week 2016: My experience and trials {from allergies to reflux}

This week is the World Breastfeeding Week. “National Breastfeeding Celebration Week run from 18th – 27th June 2016.  This extended week is an opportunity for mothers, breastfeeding supporters and health professionals to come together and share what works well to support breastfeeding in local communities. The week incorporates two weekends and concludes on Monday 27th June.  At a national level the aim is to raise awareness of the health and wellbeing benefits of breastfeeding for mothers, their infants and the long term public health for everyone. This year National Breastfeeding Celebration Week is concentrating on how ‘everyone in local communities can support mothers to breastfeed, whenever and wherever they are’. The week provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase all the good work that is going on around England, to share ideas, inspire others and promote the support available to women and their families.” {Unicef.co.uk} It was really important for me to talk about it and to share my own experience with you. Not that I am exceptional, no, the total opposite, but to show that sometimes, …

Taste of the Med for our Little ones , New Organic Baby Food Brand “Piccolo”!

The first time we had to introduce solids in one of our Baba’s little life was 5 years ago. I can tell you that I did not know how much it will be SO hard to find some ready made baby food that will meet our needs! Never I will have thought that eggs and other products will always be in the ingredients list! NEVER, really. Why to be worried by eggs? Baba1 has been diagnosed with Cow Milk protein, Eggs, oats and soya allergies when she was 3 months old. Since that moment, we started to read all the ingredients lists madly and annoyingly. Annoyingly as we have discovered that some ingredients are a bit everywhere with no reason. Processed food is really strange and manufacturers are playing a strange game here. Do you remember the beginning of our green journey? I forgot this step, this is our real STEP 2: no more processed food or ready made meals {sometimes, we do, to please me when I got tired of cooking but shhhhh… 🙂 let’s keep the …

Why to use Washable Wipes {Review of the Cheeky wipes Mini Kit for Cloth nappies users}

Good morning everyone! Green Parenting, Green Life what does this mean really in a day to day life? Absolutely no idea! For us, It has been more a journey that we started 6 years ago when we became parents. We were already a bit “green” meaning simply that we were trying to consume differently and reduce our waste. Most importantly, we, my partner and I, agree that food should not be wasted and are completely horrified by overconsumption that results on food waste. 1} This was our FIRST step : NO FOOD WASTAGE. We buy and cook proportionally to our needs and we NEVER put any food on the bin. We make sure to eat any leftover. Then when I was pregnant of Baba1 we decided to try reusable nappies. It has not been a great success but we tried our best. 2} This was our SECOND step: Start using CLOTH NAPPIES. With Baba2, we were sure to use only reusable nappies and this time round, we were more careful and managed very well {Happy!}. …

Out and about with my Pink Lining Blooming Gorgeous Changing Bag

Hi!   How are you all doing? We have had such beautiful days these last few weeks and we did enjoy the weather and you? I know that recently some of you in UK and France, have had some flooding. I hope you are all sage and secure. My today blogpost is about a mummy essential: changing Bag/Hand Bag. Sorry for the delay on publishing this one but it seems that our Internet network has suffered a lot these few days too meaning I was unable to use as I wanted my connexion. But here we are, trying to keep things back in track. So why a blogpost about a bag? Simply because I have always been a bag Demoiselle/ Lady.  I surely love Bags and a bit fanatic about them meanwhile, I have never spent more that £50 on one ,this being my really higher price. {Little exception here for my so beautiful Lalla Bag from Ilham’s} Once I had my first daughter I realised that having a handbag and a changing bag is not …

Third Trimester Pregnancy Essentials {Mia and Dom Review}

This week, I am sharing a lot about pregnancy. Why? As it begins to take most of my mind and time. And Friday is our Pampering day as usual! One of the recurrent third trimester symptom if we can call it this way as for me it is not a symptom but an unavoidable consequence: STRETCH MARKS and itchy bump. I did not mention it in my third trimester symptoms blogpost, simply because it is just something that is going to happen anyway. Is It the truth? Not at all. It depends on your skin really and you can put as many creams as you want, from the most expensive to the cheapest, it is written in your body: if you have to stretch , you will stretch. No Myths, no Miracle products, just the truth as always. About 90% of women get pregnancy stretch marks, even if they’ve never had stretch marks before. So to say that they are common is an understatement. But what you can do is help your skin and ease the itchiness …

NHS Birth Plan and choices: Why will I never choose Home Birth?

Good morning all of you! I hope you are well on this Tuesday morning. JUNE now and I shared with you few days ago some third trimester symptoms and tips. These last few weeks being the most enjoyable, but also the hardest for body and mind: I think this is the best time to pamper yourself and prepare yourself to labour. So I have instituted a routine every evening to gather myself and be more connected to baby bump and my body. It is not easy during the day to really be conscious of what is going on inside of myself when running after a very active toddler, trying to teach a pre-schooler and coping with all the housekeeping tasks. So at the end of the day, when things eventually slow down, I try to grasp the most possible of time for myself and little one to link in a calmer atmosphere. It is a magic moment  I do need to prepare myself properly to labour. I have always done it, like if my mind and …
