Geggamoja Autumn Winter 2016 Collection Review: Stripes and Zigzags Love!

Back to Tuesday, I introduced to you Geggamoja, a Sweddish Organic Childrens Wear brand. I totally fell in love with the neutral colours and unisex designs that i could not resist to try some of their garments. Geggamoja sent me some of their new collection clothing for my toddler alias Baby2 and for little Baby3. For Baby, I have received: A light pink Baby Body A Geggamoja Baby pants in dust pink/light pink A Geggamoja dribble scarf in pink My first impressions when I received the clothes: I am totally stunned by the details! I cannot believe they put little pockets in the pants! The details of it are just unbelievable. These square pockets in the front and in the back give this apparel a lovely and very sophisticated touch. The fabric is incredibly soft and thick which I do appreciate as it means it will be durable and resist the multiple washes it is going to have and most of all keep my babies warm. What do I have to say about the baby body? …

Connecta Baby Carrier Review

When I was pregnant, I was unsure about using again my stretchy wrap but I knew that I will practice babywearing. With a toddler and a pre-schooler, it was obvious for me that if I wanted to do few things in my home, I would need to put baby somewhere in order to free my hands. And the best way to do it and to make baby comfortable, content and happy is babywearing. I liked my stretchy wrap with Baba1 five years ago but was not at ease for when I was outside so I wanted to anticipated this issue. I – as always– looked everywhere for advices, read reviews and it seemed that one of the best solution and easiest are Soft Structured {buckle} carriers. Babipur, one of the best ethical and eco Shop around –not to say THE Best -, stocks a large range of Buckle carriers but not only. You can find in their website a generous “Babywearing section“. I like how they bring to us some exclusivities and special offers which makes …

Nona Palmae Antigua Woven Wrap Review

My journey into Babywearing started with a stretchy wrap and I get used to knots and this kind of little things. When previously, for my first baby, I found it tricky to use, I enjoyed it with my third. I really liked the way baby was securely wrapped and the lightweight feeling. I introduced myself to ring slings and I love the woven fabric used: so different to a stretchy wrap in terms of support. I decided to go further and to try a woven wrap. The choice out there is impressive and quite confusing. Between designs, choices of fabrics, patterns, sizes and prices, you get easily lost. But well, I guess we shall always start somewhere, we do not become experts from Day 1! After browsing a lot and reading few reviews, I decided to go for a Nona woven wrap. Why? It is one of the most affordable wrap I found and I fell in love with the earthy patterns and beautiful colours. Now, who is behind Nona Woven wraps? Nona Woven Wraps has …

Bambinomio Miosolo Cloth Nappy review and new Aldi Prints!

Bambinomio is one of my favourites cloth nappy. When I first stashed for Baba2 I did not hear about them. My first Bambino miosolo nappy has been bought a week before I gave birth only because I received a special offer email from Emma’s diary. It was a lilac Bambinomio miosolo. And since this first buy, I bought many, many, many more {certainly too much} for Baba2 and Baba3. I can say without shame: it is an addiction and I love this All in One Cloth Nappy. I have used them a lot on my Baba2 from 3 months old to 24 months old. I did not have any leak with them as you can easily boost them. My daughter {Baba2} do not go to nursery yet, but if she did, Bambinomio Miosolo nappies would have been my choice. They are the easiest nappy I have in my stash to use and clean. With no doubt and anxiety, they are the one I ask my husband to use when I am away and he handles them with no fear …

#AlhamdulillahForSeries, a muslim’s mini Gratitude Journal by Ayeina

Few months ago, I have been lucky to discover on Instagram Ayeina. I fell in love with all the beautiful drawings and graphics Ayeina was designing and publishing. Impressed by the watercolors and the deep message Ayeina is sending: Gratitude for each thing we are lucky to have in our life, I was excited to see the launch of their first Mini Gratitude Journal. The day to day life can push us away from our thoughts and we get tuned to be ungrateful and not to see the blessings in our life. We focus all our energy and attention towards finding out what we lack or the not so good sides forgetting the essentials. Being more positive and showing gratitude leads us for a more productive approach to life. And not only it is important To show gratitude in our adult life but it is even more essential to teach this positive attitude to our children. One of the first Surah I learnt as a child and I taught to my daughters is Surah al-Fatihah. Why am …

Pretend Play to help Develop Social skills and behaviour in toddlers featuring Honeybake Toys range by Le Toy Van

Parenting sometimes can be really challenging and surely when you child is a bit different or have more/special needs. Difference is never easy to cope with and to find the right support and the right things to do.  Sometimes, a child will need more help to develop social and interpersonal skills: it does not mean that you child has an issue or is not “normal”. I absolutely hate this word as it does not mean anything. A thing I have learnt with the time is that there is nothing more helpful than play. Yes, Playing helps learn so many things and also helps reveal any difficulties your child might have. So how children can learn through play? Young children are learning and developing quickly. They are playing, learning and experimenting. Children learn through all their senses by: tasting, touching, seeing, hearing and smelling watching and copying people close to them: this is how they learn language and behaviour We have already discussed the importance to touch and see and I presented you Grimm’s Toys in my article …

Some comfy and funky Leggings for my Kids: Blade & Rose Review

Today, Blade & Rose is launching their new A/W16 Collection. My eldest daughter suffered eczema and allergies since baby so for me, it has been always very clear that she will wear only leggings and cotton. In fact, I had no choice, as soon as I was putting something else on her legs, we will notice eczema patches few hours later appearing. Her wardrobe was mainly leggings and cotton dresses/Tops, nothing else. Because organic clothes are not really affordable, and I am not an extremist and can combine with our lifestyle exigence {income etc.}, I am honestly saying that I DO buy non organic cloths. What I am looking for FIRST is the comfort a cloth can afford for a child. Designs, patterns are and have always been the latest thing I am looking for. What I want is my daughters to be FREE of any movement in what they wear: crawling, running, jumping, climbing, anything a child wants to experiment really. I hate jeans, or any rigid fabrics and therefore, I do not choose this kind …

Grimm’s Rainbows : Little Earth Farm Shop Review

As mentioned in my previous post about raising a bilingual child and Waldorf education, we were looking for fabulous toys to help us in our daughter preparation to Reception 1 this summer. We have chosen Grimm’s wooden Toys for their special features and quality. We then had to decide from who to buy. A lot of shops sell them but our ethos is always to buy from independent sellers and help them build their eco-friendly business and to be honest, I absolutely love encouraging family or work at home mums businesses! We could have bought them from our usual shop but as I said, what we are looking for, is help everyone develop. Big retailers, small retailers as soon as they encounter our Lifestyle. The shop we have chosen to HIGHLIGHT today is: Who are they? They are a family business run by Anna and Stuart. They love handmade, quality, unique pieces, lovingly crafted by talented artisans. They deeply believe in making a difference and striving for a better World. They have opened their little shop one year …
