Modesty, Comfort, Elegance and Breastfeeding with Tasnim Collections

The beautiful weather is back, Ramadan is coming very soon inshaAllah and I do believe that adequate clothing is a necessity. I leave and breathe abayas. I am a dress lady as I love feeling comfortable. I received last year from Tasnim Collections the “Sarah” abaya with the extra large Shayla both in light weight. I fell in love instantly but had to wait the beautiful days to wear them (quite cold here but now you can have them in Heavy weight!). I can now enjoy these well made piece of clothing. Mashallah, I love how the design is simple yet clever with a front zip for breastfeeding. I love the large not to say huge choice of colours and the quality of the fabric, very breathable! I love the elasticated sleeves so much that i need to thank Tasnim Collection to think about the mums out there who run after children, do crafts or are busy with some mechanics. The Shayla is now my favourite hijab, it falls beautifully and is very large so …

Welcoming Spring with Geggamoja

Yesterday was the first day of spring and we could feel the warmth coming back. The sunny days are back and we can see green leaves and beautiful daffodils everywhere. But spring is also coming with rain showers so let’s get ourselves ready for it! Spring has always been our favourite season with the girls as you can do so many activities and enjoy to go out. We have been really busy last week planting our potatoes from the #growyourownpotatoes project and sowing some tree seeds from The woodland trust. It so exciting to see the natural cycles of life and gardening is a beautiful, engaging and quiet activity to do with young children. So as beautiful days are coming back, I thought it was the time to use again some bright and lightweight clothes to accommodate the new climat. So today baby is wearing a Geggamoja outfit from the Spring/Summer 2017 Collection. Do you remember? I wrote a review last year about this wonderful Scandinavian brand, click here if you would like to know more. …

Eight months update: Baby’s milestones – From Babies With Love Whale Baby grow

Recently, Baby turned up seven months old. I cannot believe how fast she has grown but that’s it: she is not my little newborn anymore. We have started weaning at six and a half months even if she was showing lots of readiness signs but she has been poorly in January and I thought we’d rather delay a bit. Because baby is still toothless I started with purees and it worked for approximately two weeks. Then, little by little, she started refusing spoon feeding and willing to feed herself. How can a baby with only gums eat a cucumber? I have no idea but she is managing! She is not a tummy baby. As soon as I put her on her tummy, she turns back. But recently, not to say few days ago, she eventually decided to sit unsupported! What a joy! Never compare babies are they all reach their milestones at their own pace. So let’s see together what we might expect from an 8 months old baby based on Bounty. Dropping and throwing They say: …

Piccalilly Organic Children Clothing Review : a delightful Rainbow in the British sky

Last year has been rich for us in new experiences, new discoveres and in the middle of all the excitement, we have been proud to be Brand Embassadors for Piccalilly. Piccalilly are a British baby and kidswear brand designing organic baby clothes and organic children’s clothes from Newborn up to 10 years. They are the leading UK company to develop muslin swaddling blankets and they manufacture all their organic clothing to the highest ethical standards. I have already posted about this brand and the clothes I received but now, after approximately six months use, I thought it was the right time to share my feelings about this brand and my review. You can find here a little reminder of what we received: Piccalilly Haul. Where to start? First, I love the designs, colours, and the British identify of the brand. It reminds me Mary Poppins and for a French girl who grew up in the 80-90’s, it is definitely a huge compliment. The tea dresses are wonderful with an Alice in Wonderland spirit . I have not seen one …

A magic wind blows through the Little Green Radicals Winter Collection

Between Magic, Stars and Fairy Sleepy Dust, the new Little Green Radicals Winter Collection is enchanting. Two weeks ago, I was waiting for the release of the Little Green Radicals Autumn Winter 2016 Collection. You know my love for this Organic Clothing brand! And if you don’t, you can always read my article and you will see how fond of them I am! Unfortunately when you have high expectations you expose yourself to disillusion. So when the new collection has been revealed,  I was first worried . “The new AW16 collection – dreams – invites into a dream world of magic moons & stars, flying rockets, hooting owls & candy lands… with beautiful new organic corduroy pieces in unisex colours & super soft organic sherpa blankets, hats & mitts of all made from gorgeous organic & Fairtrade cotton…” After few pictures out I can tell you that I have not been disappointed at all, quite the opposite. The first thing that caught my eyes in the new collection was the Moon and Stars print and the deep rich blue colour. This kind of midnight blue is so unusual in children clothing that I fell in love instantly, as …

Our Children’s Winter Fashion Goes Organic with Piccalilly !

Our Summer has been mostly Organic with Frugi and Little Green Radicals, two organic UK Clothing brand but for Winter, we will change and we are going for another UK Brand. This Winter my daughters will be #Piccaliscious with Piccalilly! Piccalilly are a British baby and kidswear brand designing organic baby clothes and organic children’s clothes from Newborn up to 10 years. They are the leading UK company to develop muslin swaddling blankets and they manufacture all their organic clothing to the highest ethical standards. The last few months I heard a lot about Piccalilly and was really curious to try their clothing. Piccalilly offer a large variety of clothing with appliques, embroideries and bright colours. They have won a 2016 Junior Platinum Design Award. I loved the Summer Collection and when the A/W launched I literally fell in love. But the real culprit is the Poncho! Do you want me to show you? This poncho is a must have! It looks so comfy and cosy to keep your little one warm this autumn. Available in 2 sizes …

Some comfy and funky Leggings for my Kids: Blade & Rose Review

Today, Blade & Rose is launching their new A/W16 Collection. My eldest daughter suffered eczema and allergies since baby so for me, it has been always very clear that she will wear only leggings and cotton. In fact, I had no choice, as soon as I was putting something else on her legs, we will notice eczema patches few hours later appearing. Her wardrobe was mainly leggings and cotton dresses/Tops, nothing else. Because organic clothes are not really affordable, and I am not an extremist and can combine with our lifestyle exigence {income etc.}, I am honestly saying that I DO buy non organic cloths. What I am looking for FIRST is the comfort a cloth can afford for a child. Designs, patterns are and have always been the latest thing I am looking for. What I want is my daughters to be FREE of any movement in what they wear: crawling, running, jumping, climbing, anything a child wants to experiment really. I hate jeans, or any rigid fabrics and therefore, I do not choose this kind …

REVIEW: Little Green Radicals, Children clothes made from 100% organic Fairtrade Cotton

Little Green Radicals…. Let’s rock the organic Children! Like a name of a Rock Music band, the brand name promises by itself something that will make you rock and a bit rebellious: something different. And I love differences, love things that do not follow the trends that are unique , with a style and character of their own. I am a bit new to LGR {Little Green Radicals} – I have discovered them in marsh/April so not so far. It has been love at first sight. LGR is different. LGR brings you another kind of children clothing and patterns inspired by Asia, mostly India vibes. The first time I saw their SS16 collection, it brought me there, this place I always loved and wanted to be. A place in my mind between Europe and Asia with a mix of designs, colours and textures, sounds and smells: an in-between world subtly combined. Anyone knowing me will know that I have a passion for Asia and its colourful landscapes. It was a time in my life when I …
