Potty training and kids incontinence in older children made easy thanks to PottyPads by Snuggle Blanks

Potty Training. Hmm, these two words have the bad habit to usually stress parents. Why?  Maybe because we all want our children to start being independent as soon as possible. But realistically some few things should not be rushed and Potty training is one of them. For #1, as soon as we celebrated her first birthday, people around us were asking if she was clean during the day. I was a bit like this: ?!? She was definitely not ready at one year old, so it was far from any of my thoughts. People have a tendency to rush baby things and put a lot of pressure amongst parents and then by extension towards babies. Wow, slow sown a bit and appreciate what you have. All children grow at their own pace and never forget that a child cannot achieve something naturally and easily if he has not acquired the physical capacity to do it. So asking a one year old child to have a full control on his sphincters is just not “anatomically” logical. …

New prints in the Bambino Mio Accessories Range { Miosquares Review}

Little Baby is now nearly four months old and she is starting teething. Fingers and fists in the mouth, she dribbles like never before. I cannot believe we are already there! What happened to us these las few months? Well, too many things but a thing is sure, muslin squares are HANDY. They are the products I have the most used. I use them for E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G: to put on the bed to protect baby from sweating, for mopping spills, as burp cloths, for changing time, even for playing and much more. My baby’s comforter is a muslin blanket. I just love how versatile they are and absorbant. With Baba2, I use them as wipes when she is very messy after a meal, I just wet a muslin square and wipe her. Muslin squares are baby essentials, you cannot avoid them. And if you want, you are missing something because they are great! I have a large collection from my first baby and I am still using them. In my collection, I have some Miosquares. Miosquares, did I say? …

{Giveaway inside} Switching to Reusable menstrual products : Cheeky Mama Cloth Sanitary Pads Review

This week was Reusable Menstrual Products Week and it was obvious that I should talk to you about Reusable Cloth Sanitary pads. Using Reusable menstrual products has been, in my women life, the ultimate green step. Green living or at least trying to reduce waste in my life demanded efforts beyond my imagination. When I look around me all the things we use and throw into our bins after only one use it is unbelievable. I have been using disposable sanitary pads during so many years and it was obvious for me and all girls around me that it was what we would be using. When I was younger we were used to travel to Morocco every year for our summer holidays and in the 80’s to early 90’s, women – those I knew and were living with–  were still using washable pads {and washable nappies for babies!}. In fact, there were no pads. They were using pieces of cotton fabric. I grew up knowing that and having acknowledged it. I mean I have seen them washing their pads and …

Bambinomio Miosolo Cloth Nappy review and new Aldi Prints!

Bambinomio is one of my favourites cloth nappy. When I first stashed for Baba2 I did not hear about them. My first Bambino miosolo nappy has been bought a week before I gave birth only because I received a special offer email from Emma’s diary. It was a lilac Bambinomio miosolo. And since this first buy, I bought many, many, many more {certainly too much} for Baba2 and Baba3. I can say without shame: it is an addiction and I love this All in One Cloth Nappy. I have used them a lot on my Baba2 from 3 months old to 24 months old. I did not have any leak with them as you can easily boost them. My daughter {Baba2} do not go to nursery yet, but if she did, Bambinomio Miosolo nappies would have been my choice. They are the easiest nappy I have in my stash to use and clean. With no doubt and anxiety, they are the one I ask my husband to use when I am away and he handles them with no fear …

Controversial new Tots Bots Collaboration with Joules : Annabella Floral print

This morning at 10.00 am, Tot Bots has released what was supposed to be a great news. I was so after this news. Well, I have not been disappointed. What Did Tots Bots reveal? Their brand new Collaboration with Joules, a “High Street” Clothing UK Brand. The first nappy print they revealed was the Annabella Floral Print. My first reactions and impressions were: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! I need this print, no not I need, I want this print. You just need to have a look at my “logo” to understand. I am a flowers lover, a bobo in my heart and soul and I TOTALLY assume it. I am absolutely crazy about these kinds of Vintage chic prints, very british. Then,  I was like a headless chicken: Who is stocking them? How not to miss it? I need one in teenyfit? Will they be doing any teenyfit? Who should I contact to secure one? How much? Can someone tell me where to buy? It was really funny. I really love the print, I am totally honest. After the emotional …

Why to use Washable Wipes {Review of the Cheeky wipes Mini Kit for Cloth nappies users}

Good morning everyone! Green Parenting, Green Life what does this mean really in a day to day life? Absolutely no idea! For us, It has been more a journey that we started 6 years ago when we became parents. We were already a bit “green” meaning simply that we were trying to consume differently and reduce our waste. Most importantly, we, my partner and I, agree that food should not be wasted and are completely horrified by overconsumption that results on food waste. 1} This was our FIRST step : NO FOOD WASTAGE. We buy and cook proportionally to our needs and we NEVER put any food on the bin. We make sure to eat any leftover. Then when I was pregnant of Baba1 we decided to try reusable nappies. It has not been a great success but we tried our best. 2} This was our SECOND step: Start using CLOTH NAPPIES. With Baba2, we were sure to use only reusable nappies and this time round, we were more careful and managed very well {Happy!}. …

Review of the New ECOPIPO All in One Cloth diaper: A Snugly absorbent Nappy

Sunday morning, and End of the week. This week was about ECOPIPO Cloth Diapers and after sharing about the Ecopipo V2 pocket nappy, I will now share with you the last Nappy they have launched: The NEW AIO {All in One} Ecopipo Cloth Nappy. Launched last week, as soon as I saw it I wanted to try it. Why? I love AIO’s for the ease of use: convenience really. You just put them on your baby like a disposable, all ready to go an that is all : no stuffing required and when you put them into the wash, no un-stuffing {it can be very yucky if you have to do so :-p}. Well I have ordered mine and It has been the most difficult part. I love all the designs and because my daughters love Pink {a lot}, I was hesitating between Owls and Kittens. I did get both eventually and what a SUCCESS when they arrived. My Baba1 said: “Oh mummy can we put the Owls now please on Baba2? Then the kittens? …

Introducing Ecopipo Cloth Diapers: Review of the Ecopipo V2 Pocket Cloth nappy

Hello Cloth Bumming enthousiasts! This week, the brand I will be talking about is ECOPIPO. Why Ecopipo? Because I absolutely did not know about them until Real Nappy Week. Really, never heard this nappy name before or seen any! This is what I love with RNW, it gives you the opportunity to discover and try new brands at discounted price. How did I find Ecopipo? I was looking to Fill Your Pants website to take advantage of their RNW offers, when I discovered two new brands: Petit Lulu and Ecopipo! The prints of the Ecopipo range won the day and I decided to try them out. But as usual, I never buy a nappy  {or anything else in fact} without checking everywhere and trying to grasp utmost informations possible. And here we are , I found the Ecopipo UK website! Sometimes, I am not sure that it is a great thing that I find what I am looking for neither for my bank account or my Poor Little CB. About Ecopipo {Ectract of Ecopipo website} …

Close Parent Pop in Newborn Reusable Nappies Review

Special Close parent week, so today I will talk about Newborn Pop-ins reusable nappies. You might be wondering why? Are you willing to cloth bum your little Baba from birth? If yes, I am sorry to tell you that Birth to Potty {BTP} nappies won’t do the Job. I know that retailers/manufacturers are selling them pretending so but I will now tell you the truth: unless your little Baba weights at least 8lbs or more {4kgs+}, BTP won’t fit her. Tested and approved by myself: I learnt it the hard way unfortunately! I know that most people will not be willing to invest on Newborn nappies which I completely understand as Cloth nappies are quite expensive {Meaning punctually but not in long term}. Well this is when our Newborn pop-ins enter in the scene! For Baba2, not willing to do the same mistake than for Baba1, I have invested on some Newborn nappies {will show you later what I bought then and what I have added for Baba3}. But after reading a lot of reviews, seen a lot …

Close Parent Pop-in V2 New Generation Reusable Nappies Review

This week I want to talk to you about Pop-ins reusable nappies. Why? Simply because I love them and have used them a lot. I will be completely honest with you , when I was pregnant of Baba2 and started my search for great nappies , I have not heard at all about them. Maybe and surely because my main references were Blogs and Vlogs that are mainly US Based. So how did I hear about them? I am quite a shy lady and was really anxious about going to a nappucchinos { not everyone is at ease surrounded by strangers – being a Muslim with a veil does not help if you see what I mean}. When I meet new people, they always assume who I am , where I am from and how I live, which is quite annoying and challenging in the same time. I have my own history like any other woman on this earth and deserve a bit of empathy… Well, that is why I usually like blogging and emails as people …
